Small Groups Newsletter June 2008

Acts 2:42  - "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."  As we listened to the stories of the early church from Acts just a few weeks ago, I wondered what it was like live Acts 2:42 in each day.  Relating with each other in the community of believers is so important.  Thank you for being intentional to take time each month and work on forming strong relationships with other Christians in order to live together in the life of discipleship.  Keep growing, keep studing, and keep building each other up in our most holy faith.

In this issue:

Not another Group!!!

Most people would say that the last thing they need is another group to be a part of or another time commitment.  However, being part of a small group is Not Another Group, but is unlike any other group to which you may belong.  For it is in a small group that we are able to living in an intentional relationship with other people.  It is in a small group that we are able to really get to know other people at a deeper level.  By being a part of a small group you will feel more supported in your life, encouraged to grow as a person, and it will bring more joy into your life.  If you don’t believe me, try it for 6 weeks.  If at the end of 6 weeks you do not feel that it is worth your time, then there is no pressure to continue.  New small groups are forming now.  Please contact Pastor Wade if you would like more information. 773-4315 or e-mail: pastorwade@bethellutheranchurch.com
