Bethel Giving
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7) Cheerful givers have different ways of contributing time, talent, and resources to Bethel’s mission. We offer many options for giving so that you can find an option that is meaningful and rewarding to you. Thank you for all that you do to support Bethel!

Gift of Check/Cash
If you choose to give by check or cash, simply fill out your furnished giving envelope (or pew envelope) and place it in the offering plate. If you wish to give anonymously, it may be given in an unmarked giving envelope or simply placed in the offering plate. Additionally, you can contribute via direct transfer of funds from your financial institution. Offerings received which give identifying name & address will receive a Contribution Summary after the end of the year.

Gift of Stock, Mutual Fund or Property
If you would like to make a gift of stock, mutual fund, or property or have an interest in knowing more about this option, read the following page for Bethel’s practices regarding these transactions or contact Treasurer (email listed below) to ensure you have the current account information.

Non-Cash Donations
Because we are a properly qualified taxes-exempt organization, your contributions may have valuable tax benefits. You should consult your personal tax advisor with respect to tax deductions, and any limitations of such deductions.

Gift of Property
Please reach out to the Treasurer or Financial Secretary to complete the Non-Cash (Property) donation card providing a description of the property provided. Submit the completed card to the Financial Secretary. We will send a letter acknowledging the receipt of the gift, including a description of the gift. The donor is responsible for obtaining fair market value of the donation for tax purposes.

Please note, if the estimated fair market value of the gift is greater than $5,000, an appraisal is required and IRS Form 8283 will need to be completed by you and signed by the appraiser and by us. The completed form will need to be filed with your tax return.

Offering Prayer
We gather to worship and praise, we give
in gratitude for all which we have received.
We give not because we pledged to, and not
because we have to. We give because we can.
We give in response to the life of Christ given
for us. We give in joy because of love, over-
flowing and unconditional. O God, let it be so.
Amen.

Electronic & Mobile Giving
is easy, convenient and it’s secure! You can make contributions, setup an account and enrollment in recurring weekly, bi-weekly or monthly tithe and any additional offerings as you may direct from time to time, through our Bethel website, (www.bethellutheranchurch.com); go to Ministries and select Stewardship from the drop-down menu. Funds are easily and securely transferred from your checking/savings account or credit card. You can manage and track your own contributions, all from the convenience of your own computer. A Give Now button is located here, above and also in the footer of each of our web pages.

Electronic Banking Fees
We want to make you aware of fees associated with electronic banking. During the account set up, there is an option available to help defray these fees should you wish to do so. However you choose to give, we are truly blessed and grateful for your gift.

Stock Donations
Your broker will need to know the following information to complete the stock transfer:

     First Clearing DTC #0141
     Account Number 3755-0899

If you have any specific questions, you or your broker will need to contact Terry Lovison at Thurston Springer Miller Herd & Titak at 317-591-3984 (direct) or 1-800-433-8049 (toll-free) to set up the stock transfer.

If you would like a confirmation of the receipt of the funds from the church, please reach out to the Treasurer or Financial Secretary to notify them of the transaction. When we receive notification of the donation, we will send a letter of acknowledgement, if requested, idenfying stocks received in the transfer. According to IRS rules, we cannot provide information regarding the value of the stocks donated. Your broker will provide you with a letter of valuation.
